I’ve been working tonight on a social media business card design to distribute at tech events. I try to keep my professional and tech/hobby life separate, so it has been somewhat pointless to give techies cards without a twitter handle.

What do you think? Comments greatly appreciated.

The design was inspired by one of Adora‘s card designs. It’s lacking clarity a little, but most should be able to decode it. I like the simplicity, providing just email, website, and twitter. The key thing about meeting random people in passing is the information I added to the back to help people remember me or to strike up a conversation with me later. This kind of information should be on more cards… but then again, cards are becoming old fashioned and everything can be done on phones and social networks now. But like reading a book vs. on the Kindle, there’s a feeling associated with the physical handling and feel of the card… an imprinted meme of the past.
